Town Upkeep & Maintenance
Our volunteers regularly tackle maintenance and improvement projects across Story, from benches to playgrounds to community buildings. We serve to keep our town vibrant and functional for everyone.
Youth Vision Screenings
We partner with local organizations to conduct free vision screenings for children and adults, ensuring early detection and care for better learning and development.
Annual 4th of July BBQ
A cherished tradition, our free community BBQ brings neighbors together to celebrate our nation's independence and strengthen the bonds that make Story special.
Annual Fundraising Raffle
We are supporting the future of Story with our annual Gift to Scholars program. We allocate $ 5,000 annually to help those looking to better themselves through learning!
Annual Gift to Scholars
Each year, we hold a gun raffle to raise money to fund our work in the community. Tickets are 10$ each, and the drawing is held on August 29th!
Our Club
The Story Lions Club was founded in Story, Wyoming, in 1957. I need a club historian to step in here. Give me some details. The picture is obviously a placeholder for now. Have we truly never taken a group photo? We need to get on this!

President: Cheryl Brockman
My Story: My husband and I retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service and settled here in Story, Wyoming, to be near family. During my time in the Air Force, I worked as a federal agent, running felony-level criminal and counterintelligence investigations. I am currently working as the head of the Criminal Justice program at Sheridan College. I have been blessed with two young daughters who are still in school at Story Elementary, and being a Lions Club member is important to me not only as a way to help the community, but also as a way to model the importance of community service to a new generation.
Vice President: Elaina M. Winter
My Story: 40 yrs in Wyoming and a proud UW Alumni-BSN 1994. An RN practicing in Wyoming in the hospital setting, schools, clinics and VA with 18 yrs as a Wyoming state employee. Blessed to love my two children and horses, dogs and cats (and bees). Husband, Brian, and I love the great outdoors and are adventure seekers . I resided in Story in the late 1990’s for 3 yrs and now again since 2018. Happening Now: Launching the Vision Program with other trained Lions and regional club support. Being a Lion is rewarding because I have an opportunity to serve and to unite with my neighbors to make Story the best Story.
